Orange's Ophir Hotel had originally said a COVID-positive person was there between the hours of 10am and 11pm on Monday, October 11. On Tuesday, that time was updated to say it was actually between 7am and 11pm on October 11.
The last time a new case was recorded for Orange was Sunday - bringing the LGA's total number of cases for the week (from Monday, October 11, - aka 'Freedom Day' - to Sunday, October 17) to 12.
On the same day, a new venue of concern was added to NSW Health's list of exposure sites for Orange. The COVID positive-person visited Eureka Street Furniture at the Orange Homemaker Centre between 5.05pm and 5.10pm on Wednesday, October 13.
In the 24 hour period to 8pm on Monday just one new case of COVID-19 was detected across the whole western NSW health district - which is the lowest number of new cases for the region since the outbreak started in western NSW on August 11.
Across NSW there were 283 new COVID-19 cases and seven deaths in the 24 hours to 8pm Tuesday.
81.6 per cent of the population aged 16 years and older have now had two doses of a COVID-19 vaccine, while the single dose rate is at 92.3 per cent.
552 people are in hospital with COVID-19 across the state with 124 in ICU.
