Originally planned for the showground, the event was moved just a few days out due to ongoing COVID testing at the original site.
Tamara Gerber from Pioneer Brewing was one of the nearly 80 stall-holders out at the racecourse, and said it was great to be back.
"What a great opportunity to start the run-in to Christmas. It's a new market so I hope the locals support it," she said.
"Everyone is out in force and have rallied pretty quickly and it's been pretty seamless, so we just hope that locals continue to support opportunities like this."
The change of venue didn't seem to impact their stall either.
"I think this is a great venue to be honest," she added.
"Without something like this there would be a bit of a missing gap in the market.
"We have a tasting room and are in pubs and that, but a lot of these places, this is actually when they connect with people. These markets are their main revenue streams and getting them going is so important."
Another stall-holder was Jade Smoother from Pick of the Scrunch. She sold handmade keyrings, headbands and scrunchies at what was her businesses first market since lockdown ended.
"We're hoping all the Orange locals still know where to come, but it's definitely not as central," she said of the change of location.
"It's good to get our name out there and word of mouth is really what we rely on as a small business."
Asked if she was excited to be back, Ms Smoother said: "Yeah, definitely."
"It's good to be out and see people. I mainly sell online, but the markets are another good avenue."
There is not yet a date set for when the next Simply Orange market will go ahead, but those looking to enquire about having a stall can email simplyorangemarkets@outlook.com.
