Melissa O'Brien is the senior community relations specialist for the mining company and said that although there was an incident near their site, it was nothing to worry about.
"Qube is our train operator and are obviously the ones who operate and take out concentrate to Port Kembla," she said.
"Their train, the wagons - which are like the carriages - two carriages have slipped the railways track. It happened where the direction of the train track is moved. It has slipped the railway at that transactional point. It's not derailed or an accident."
She added that the incident happened on a private track, rather than a main train line.
"It's on the siding that's near Cadia, where the Qube operate has just slipped the track. It's not affecting train direction in any capacity," she added.
"It's just sitting there at the moment and they're getting a crane to lift it back on."
