Orange has recorded its tenth new COVID case since Sunday. Up to 8pm Thursday night, there were just ten new cases for the city, despite thousands of residents heading to get tested throughout this week.

This latest case which was announced Friday morning was not infectious in the community and was a household contact of a previous case.
Also on Friday, there were more venues of exposure added to NSW Health's list.
These were: Fantastic Furniture Orange (on October 11 from 11:15am to 11:30am), Kmart Orange (on October 11 from 9:20am to 10am), Barber Industries Orange (on October 6 from 8:30am to 5:30pm, October 4 from 8:30am to 12:30pm, October 3 from 10am to 3pm and October 2 from 8:30am to 4pm), BIG W (from October 6 from 5:40pm to 6:10pm), and Boating Camping Fishing (on October 11 from 11:50am to 12:15pm).

According to Western NSW Local Health District (WNSWLHD), there were 3777 COVID tests conducted in Orange over four days - between Monday, October 11, and yesterday (Thursday, October 14).
While, in the week previous, there were 2467 tests conducted over a seven-day period between Monday, October 4, and Sunday, October 10.
On Wednesday this week, there were 819 tests. On Tuesday, there were 477.
On Friday morning, in addition to the one new case announced for Orange, there were 13 new cases of COVID-19 identified in WNSWLHD. These were located in Dubbo (4), Bourke (3), Oberon (3), Walgett (2) and Wellington (1).
Fortunately, none of these new cases were infectious while in the community.
Testing is available at the Orange Showgrounds and Wade Park from 8am to 4pm. Bookings are not required, but long waits are expected.
