Paramedics, police and fire crews were called to the scene near North Orange McDonald's around 2pm on Wednesday afternoon.
According to NSW Ambulance Services, a man in his 70s was treated for a laceration to his hand and abdominal pain, while a woman in her 20s was treated for shock.
The man was then transported to Orange Hospital in a stable condition.
Following the crash, the Northern Distributor remained closed off between Anson Street and Clergate Road, and traffic was being diverted.
