He's been a leader at Kinross for the last two seasons but this summer, Charlie Tink is set to step into a new role at CYMS as he looks forward to a green and gold switch.
The BOIDC bat has committed to Hugh Le Lievre's side as he and Mac Webster will look to remain in the top grade after Kinross announced it will be dropping down to seconds for 2021-22.
And while there are four clubs the duo could have picked, CYMS shaped as an appealing destination for them.
"There's a good bunch of blokes there at CYMS," Tink said.
"It's a great club, and it's led by Hugh [Le Lievre] who got Orange's cricketer of the year," Tink said.
"He really knows what he's doing and it's exciting to get the chance to play under him."
As far as Le Lievre goes, Tink hasn't had a conversation with him about the upcoming season, but already knows where he wants to improve this summer.
"I think I just want to be a bit more composed this year, especially with the two-day format," he said.
CYMS is a great club.Charlie Tink.
"I want to be able to stick it out there and just take the runs when they come.
"There's a lot of time to bat, and I think we struggled with that at Kinross last year."
As for Webster's presence on the team, Tink expects his classmate to make an impact with the ball in-hand.
"The fact that we got Peter Gott this year is big," he said.
"It's great to have a fast bowler there, and Mac's a top-quality swing bowler.
"He's been in the top grade for a few years now, and he knows what he's doing."
There's just a tick under two weeks until CYMS kick off their campaign as the first contest will be on the road against another fringe finals contender in Bathurst City.
City is a good side, but not quite on the same level as a few others.
"When I think of contenders I think about St Pat's straight away," Tink said.
"Orange City will also be good with Fletcher [Rose], and Rugby Union and Cavaliers will always be up there."
