"Most other people want a $30million Lotto win, I like the concept of winning a cameo appearance in a comic strip."
Those are the words of Anne Raisebeck who is hoping to be featured in an upcoming Ginger Meggs comic strip.
An avid coin collector, she came across the Royal Australian Mint's competition which celebrates 100 years of the beloved comic character and is now battling it out in the final.
"I was absolutely delighted at how Jason Chatfield (current Ginger Meggs artist) was able to take elements of all the pictures and put it into one character," Ms Raisebeck said.
"If I ever get back to Canada, my girlfriend's son is a tattoo artist and I'm getting that tattooed on my shoulder."
Voting ends at 11.59pm Friday night, with the winner decided by whose design has the most Likes on the Royal Mint's Facebook post, with Ms Raisebeck in with a good chance.
"Even if I don't win, at the end of the day I've already won because the sheer support from people from really unexpected quarters has been fantastic."
