Nardi Marie Sullivan, 22, of Lawson Crescent, was not present in Orange Local Court for sentencing on Monday.
According to police she visited the BWS at the North Orange Shopping Centre on November 13, 2020, and she was captured on CCTV taking a 700 millilitre bottle of Jim Beam bourbon off the shelf at 8.29pm.
She was also filmed removing the security lid from the bottle and dropping it on the floor.
Sullivan then hid the bottle under her shirt and left the shop and the shopping centre.
Officers from Central West Police District were contacted and reviewed the footage.
On January 8 this year they found her at the corner of Clinton and Summer streets so stopped her to question her about the larceny.
While speaking to police, Sullivan admitted to the theft saying, "yeah, I think I took a bottle of Jimmy neat."
Magistrate Elizabeth Ellis convicted Sullivan and fined her $800 and ordered her to pay $47 compensation to the bottle shop.
