It didn't get a run in 2020 due to COVID-19, but on Sunday-Monday, the Orange City Golf Championship is set to return for its 25th year of action.

The event is traditionally held at both DuntryLeague and Wentworth facilities, but inclement weather has rendered the latter out of action, meaning it will be played at the one venue in 2021.
Regardless of who gets hosting rights, the championship is set to be hotly contested over the two-day period, with the likes of Peter Mitchell shaping as one of the best chances to taste victory in the men's division.
It was back in the mid 1990s when Rob Williamson helped launch the unique event as he and many others were looking to boost participation rates at the Ex-Services club.
And while the creation might not have felt like a game-changing move back then, Williamson's adamant that it helped kick-start what's now a surging sport in town.
"Golf's so strong in Orange now, and it's great to see," he said.
"This event tripled their [Ex-Services] sponsorship and attracted a lot of people to the event.
"It was myself and some like-minded people who helped start it up."
Williamson's passion for golf is similar to many who live and breathe it around the world, and no matter what club you're part of, everyone can enjoy it.
"If you go anywhere in the world and walk into a golf club, you've usually got something in common with someone," he said.
While there's some form of rivalry present between the two clubs, Williamson insists it's nothing more than 'tongue and cheek', and any malice that once existed is long gone.
Positions are still available for the two day competition that's set to tee off at 7am on both Sunday and Monday.
If any man or woman wants to take part in the action, they'll need to contact the DuntryLeague Pro Shop to reserve their position throughout the two days.
