The former Orange Netball Association gun kicked off her professional career with a stint at Giants, but will now set sail for Queensland after putting pen to paper for the 2022 season.
The midcourter is comfortable at both Wing Attack and Centre and has shown immense talent while emerging through both the NSW pathways, and as a Giants training partner. Miller made her Suncorp Super Netball debut this year for Giants round 2.
"I'm so grateful for the opportunity to play with and learn from such amazing players and coaches at the club," Miller said.
"I can't wait to make the move from Sydney to the Sunny Coast and play in front of all the amazing Lightning members and fans.
"I promise to work as hard as I can to be the best player I can possibly be, to help this great club achieve more success."
"Playing in my first SSN game earlier this year just consolidated in my mind that professional netball is my passion and I can't wait to get into pre-season training and get started!"
Miller's talent and work ethic has never been in question, and Lightning head coach Kylee Byrne is excited to see what she can bring to the team.
"Annie is a real fierce competitor and has consistently been a top performer while rising through the junior netball ranks," Byrne said.
"I think she will really benefit from our Lightning program, working with our team of coaches and high performance staff, as well as our nine other athletes.
"One thing I'm really looking forward to in our 2022 team is the injection of young talent - they are excited, eager to learn and want to put in the hard work to get those on court opportunities.
"Athletes like Annie and Reilley (Batcheldor) are the future of Lightning and I really believe will complement our core group of leaders."
