I would like to draw attention to the fact that despite pushing for COVID testing, if you are disabled and in a wheelchair, the testing hub at the showground refuse to test you.

I think its an absolute disgrace.
Two carers, being close contacts had to be tested, as such so did I and some other residents.
A carer took a resident i.e. one at a time in the disability bus as we cannot transfer to regular cars.
The carer was told we will test this one but don't bring another. We will not test them.
It was really distressing. Apart from being a paraplegic I'm asthmatic and have been really unwell.
Until having a negative result I can not go to the doctor.
We tried the hospital walk in but it was closed.
We tried another pathologist who said they couldn't and the Bloomfield respiratory testing was also unavailable and very abrupt.
Just out of lockdown and you have to stay isolated for an extended period as you struggle to get a test.
A risk to all in our setting.
The site clearly says, online, open to all for testing!
I did eventually, after many calls and being driven around in the vehicle for a couple of hours, manage to get tested elsewhere.
It's unacceptable.
Particularly as we are at serious risk due to underlying issues.
You should not have to battle to get a test.
