Orange has recorded a new case of COVID-19 and a man aged in his 40s has died at Dubbo Base Hospital in the 24 hours to 8pm Monday.

The news comes as Ashcrofts SUPA IGA in Peisley Street was identified as a venue of concern after a person who tested positive visited the store between from 3.35pm and 3.45pm, on Friday, September 24.
There were 21 new cases in the Western NSW Local Health District in that time, as well as 863 new cases in NSW and seven deaths.
One of those people who died was a man in his 40s from Dubbo who died at Dubbo Base Hospital. He was not vaccinated and had underlying health conditions.
The news came as it was announced Breast Screen NSW will come back on line.
Among the Western LHD cases were 11 in Wellington, one in Dubbo, one in Bathurst, one in Bourke, one in Cowra and one in Oberon and four in Narromine.
Deputy Chief Health Officer Dr Marianne Gale urged people in Wellington in particular to be vigilant for symptoms.
"We are seeing increased numbers in Wellington," Dr Gale said.
Statewide, 85.7 per cent of the population over 16 has been vaccinated once and 60.4 per cent has been fully vaccinated..
Of the new state-wide cases, two were acquired overseas, one new case was acquired interstate, and 14 previously reported cases have been excluded following further investigation.
The total number of cases in NSW since the beginning of the pandemic is 60,372 and there have been 54,714 locally acquired cases reported since June 16, 2021, when the first case in this Delta outbreak was reported.
There have been 316 COVID-19 related deaths in NSW since June 16 and 372 in total since the start of the pandemic.
Of the other six people who died in the 24-hours to 8pm one person was in their 50s, two people were in their 70s, two people were in their 80s and one person was in their 90s, they were all from the Greater Sydney area.
Dr Gale said some of them had been vaccinated but contracted the virus before the vaccine could take effect.
NSW Health Minister Brad Hazzard said thanked everyone who has been vaccinated and warned those who don't that they could infect friends and loved ones.
"We hear comments now that 'we don't need to get vaccinated', well yes you do, you are kidding yourself if you think you donate need to get vaccinated," he said.
