The stalwart has ticked over three decades at the club as his business, Trudgett Ray and Joe, has been its major sponsor the entire time.
He isn't up for any awards, and he doesn't necessarily want them, but on the heels of another hugely successful winter at Wade Park, Cam Jones felt a thank you was in order.
"His financial support is great, but the support he shows and the mateship he has with everyone at the club is even better," he said.
"He's been there for the premierships and for the harder years as well. He was a big part of our revival back in the early 2010s. The club may not exist without him."
It certainly was a fruitful campaign by the green and golds as they displayed a high standard throughout all age groups before winning the senior club championship.
But, it's not just Trudgett who's shown admirable amounts of support for his beloved sports club, there's stacks of others like him.
Jones and many others hold the opinion that these types of characters don't get anywhere near enough credit.
"You can't say thank you enough to these kinds of people," he said.
"As players, we just rock up to training and then play on the weekends, but the support Ray [Trudgett] has shown is amazing."
On a first-grade level, CYMS are still feeling the pinch of an early season cancellation as they were in the box seat to contend for another crown.
"It's not ideal but Group 10 didn't have much of a choice. We're proud of the season we had."
Something pundits will have a keen eye on this off-season is the playing status of Daniel Mortimer as the captain-coach's contract has expired.
The 32-year-old is expected to make a decision in the coming months.
