"We need all people throughout NSW to continue to come forward for testing at the first sign of even mild symptoms," a Western NSW Local Health District spokesperson said.
"High vaccination rates are also essential to reduce the risk of transmission and protect the health and safety of the community."
The news comes as Orange approached a fortnight without a covid case being infectious in the community - which was due to happen Friday.
Also announced Thursday morning was news of another 11 COVID cases in western NSW LHD, as well another death in Dubbo.
The new confirmed cases were in Cowra (5), Wellington (3), Bathurst (1) and Bourke (2).
This brings the total cases in the LHD during this recent outbreak to 1099. Seven are linked to known cases, and four are under investigation.
The person who died with COVID in Dubbo was a woman in her 90s at St Mary's Villa Aged Care Facility where she acquired her infection. She had received one dose of a COVID-19 vaccine.
This is the fourth death linked to an outbreak at this facility.
Across the state, there were another six deaths - including the woman from Dubbo.
Three were from western Sydney and two people were from south western Sydney.
There were 1063 new locally-acquired cases of COVID-19 across NSW in the past 24-hour reporting period.
