After several years on the show committee and as a steward in the poultry section, Mr Milne hoped he could help make the show "bigger and better than ever", and encourage a new generation to join the agriculture show movement.
Joining him for the next year is senior vice president Ian Sutherland, vice president Jaci Norris, publicity officer Rebecca Blandford and treasurer and public officer Matt Lamrock.
The executive committee will also include Geoff Selwood and Sue Milne.
The committee is currently in need of a secretary - a full description of the role is on the show's website.
