NSW Ambulance crews, including a specialist medical team, critical care doctor and paramedic, were called to the Mitchell Highway just outside of Orange at around 7.30am on September 12, where a car collected a female cyclist.

The woman, in her 60s, was thrown from the bike and suffered an arm injury.

She was treated for a possible fractured arm, a NSW Ambulance spokesperson confirmed, and was taken to Orange Hospital where she's believed to be in a stable condition.

The NSW Ambulance spokesperson said the car was travelling between "70km/h and 80km/h", which is within the speed limit in the area, and the woman appeared to be "lucky" to have suffered just the arm injury.
