This comes on the same day Group 10 junior rugby league made the same call, as it feels like only a matter of times until the competitions left standing do the same thing.
Mileto took to the ODFA Facebook page to provide a formal update on the situation.
"As a result of the NSW Government announcement made yesterday, which we understand was based on Public Health advice, confirming that a lockdown will continue in the Orange LGA, also the advice that the Government intends to open up community sport "when NSW hits the 80 per cent double dose target", the ODFA has made the decision to cancel the remainder of the 2021 season." he said.
"The Executive Committee of the ODFA would like to thank all clubs, players, coaches, supporters and volunteers for their valuable contribution and understanding in what has been a challenging season. We look forward to a much brighter 2022 season."
"The ODFA Executive will be in discussion over the next few days on how to conclude the business associated with wrapping up the season, including the timing of Policy & AGM meetings."
Remaining competitions include Group 10 seniors and Woodbridge Cup as both leagues are looking to plan for a late grand final.
