To keep the $2.9 million government and council funded project looking that way Blayney Shire Council has introduced a series of load limits not only on that road, but on the street that became everyone's favourite shortcut during reconstruction, Osman Street.
Councillor Bruce Reynolds is the chair of BSC's traffic committee and said that the restrictions are in place to stop larger vehicles, particularly B-doubles, from damaging the surface.
Heavy vehicles, particularly those coming from Cowra, are using Carcoar Street as a shortcut.

"Heavy vehicles, particularly those coming from Cowra, are using Carcoar Street as a shortcut," he said.
"We want to allow rigid vehicles, like tabletop truck or stock trucks, to continue to use Carcoar Street, but these heavy vehicles such as B-doubles cause a lot of damage, especially at the intersections."
Rigid vehicles up to 12.5 metres in length and buses of any size will still be allowed to travel along Carcoar Street to allow access to King George Oval.
To further encourage heavy vehicles to use the highway, which is maintained by Transport for NSW, council is implementing a 10 tonne limit on Osman Street.
Cr Reynolds said that the length and weight difference on the roads is to stop unloaded semi-trailers from using Carcoar Street.
"An unloaded semi-trailer could weigh under 10 tonnes but would still cause damage at Church Street or just off the highway," he said.
In Millthorpe the stretch of Victoria Street from Park Street to Glenorie Road will also have a 10 tonne limit put in place.
Cr Reynolds added that access remains available to residents for vehicles to service their property.
