While COVID-19 restrictions are naturally in place, solos and duos wanting to have a hit need only phone the pro shop to make a booking.
It might not be a Saturday on the course with 20 mates, but it's a lot better than nothing.
"I don't think golfers appreciate the fact that we're still running enough," Brakenridge said.
"We're very fortunate. Restrictions are certainly tighter than they were 12 months ago, but if you live in the Orange Local Government Area (LGA), you can play golf here."
Brakenridge admits the greens are as quiet as they've ever been, and he partly attributes that to cart restrictions.
"Over 70 percent of players would use a cart when they're here," he said.
"If you come here on a normal Saturday, there's 150 carts here."
If you don't reside inside Orange's LGA - you must live within 5 kilometres of it to be eligible to attend the course.
The reason golf is able to remain active during the current climate is that it falls under a certain bracket.
"We're open for an exercise purpose only," he said.
"We're obviously still working our way through all of these restrictions, but golf's done well to stay open.
"This Delta Strain has definitely backed people off, and we're not as busy now as we were this time last year.
"It's day-to-day, and we're still always keeping our eyes open for new government advice but for now, we're open."
Not only is Wentworth still firing for golfers, so is Duntryleague as its courses - along with the majority statewide - are operating under the same set of rules and regulations.
