There was no new cases of COVID-19 recorded in Orange on Monday, but with 36 new cases community transmission across the Western NSW district health officials maintain there's a genuine concern for the area.

Twenty-three of those cases were in Dubbo, where the number of active cases has rocketed past the 200 mark and now sits at 245 to 8pm on Monday.
There were multiple cases in locations like Parkes (five), Bourke (two) and Wellington (two), as well.
Across NSW, the state added 753 cases and no deaths to the Sydney outbreak's toll in the 11am update.
Chief health officer Dr Kerry Chant said vigilance across NSW was essential.
"We have a strong focus on communities in Western NSW, please follow public health advice and follow the vaccination plan," she said.
"It is important we stay the course there."
In terms of the regions, many areas are settling down and stabilising, but western NSW remains our concern.

NSW Premier Gladys Berejiklian said she was "so pleased and grateful" the state had hit 6 million jabs, her goal for August, already.
Ms Berejiklian said she expected to make an announcement of what those who are fully vaccinated will be able to do from next month.
"That equates to about 60 per cent of our population across the state having one dose," she said.
"In terms of the regions, many areas are settling down and stabilising, but western NSW remains our concern."
