Just days after Pete Shea's CYMS claimed the championship at Lithgow, four women received recognition from the committee for outstanding performances throughout 2021.
Ex-Services' Chloe Barrett and Orange United's Rachel Divall couldn't be split in the best and fairest tally as they shared the accolade, while United's Eva Reith-Snare took out the top goal-scorer award after being a nightmare for opposition defenders all year.
And while bagging goals is so important, United's Kathryn Cox had an amazing year saving them. She became the third United player to make the list with the top women's goalkeeper honours.
In the case of Barrett, she's been playing with the association for 10 years and despite being a leading star for several seasons, hasn't received an award like this before.
"It's pretty special to me because I felt I had a consistent season and I think this is reflective of that," she said.
As for sharing the accolade with Divall, she couldn't speak highly enough of her Orange United rival.
"She's fantastic and is so deserving of this," she said.
Reith-Snare hasn't even turned 20 yet... she almost scored more goals than she's had birthdays (15).
"That team works really well together. A lot of their goals are team goals and Eva just finishes them off so well," Barrett added.
Interestingly enough, no players from CYMS received any prizes which might speak to the well-rounded nature of the roster.
