The just-released survey titled Unboxing Australia's relocation of the nation has been released by Muval, a search engine for finding removalists.
A spokeswoman for Muval, said people were looking to move to regional areas.
The most popular areas for people moving to your region are Orange, Dubbo and then Bathurst and Mudgee.

"For Orange, Dubbo, Bathurst, Mudgee, Parkes and Forbes, we are seeing similar levels of inbound requests to move as the NSW Mid North Coast region but not as high as the Far North Coast," she said.
"Over the past 12 months, the most popular areas for people moving to your region are Orange, Dubbo and then Bathurst and Mudgee.
"The interest in these regions is mostly driven by NSW residents with nearly double the amount of enquiries when compared to other states.
"These regions are also seeing more requests to move-in versus move-out highlighting the potential for net positive migration."
The report said the affects of COVID-19 lockdowns and opportunities for people to be able to work from home were enticing people out of major cities into regional areas.
"Regional Australia continues to boom as record numbers of Aussies move from capital cities to smaller towns and communities where there are more jobs available than ever before," it said.
"It's also younger people, families and millenials, who are making the move to regions, often made possible by working from home conditions in what would traditionally be city-based roles."
It said a study of 1000 Australians by the Australian Regional Institute found 20 per cent of the respondents were considering moving and more than 66 per cent of them would consider it within the next 12 months.
The study also found that packing was the 'most-loathed' task involved with moving house.
That was followed by cleaning, unpacking and researching and finding a removalist.
It also found woman hated packing more than men.
