Quest Orange business owner Amy van de Ven won a rising star award in 2019 and last year Quest Orange won best serviced apartment in the HM awards.
Last week, the serviced apartment style hotel won Quest's NSW and ACT regional franchise award.
"I was very excited ... and really proud of my team," Miss van de Ven said.
"We were meant to be on the Gold Coast at Sanctuary Cove for our national franchise conference."
However, due to COVID restrictions and Queensland border closures she logged online for a virtual awards ceremony from the comfort of the hotel instead.
"Under the circumstances we are tracking well, we are very fortunate with the community supporting us with lots of regional to regional stays within NSW," Miss van de Ven said.
"Our main business is corporates, everything from small and medium enterprises through to larger scale companies."
Miss van de Ven said she has worked in hotels for her entire career and she started working for Quest eight years ago and worked her way up to owning and operating the Orange franchise two and a half years ago.
"From working in the business to owning and operating my own here in Orange it's a really special one for me personally," she said.
However, she said it was a team award and she wanted to thank the staff.
"They are the ones that make this possible, without them I cannot do what I do and deliver great guest experiences.
Charred cellar
COVID-19 continues to affect the hospitality industry with recent stay-at-home orders and Sydney lock downs.
However, Charred Kitchen & Bar has sought new ways to manage the lockdown implications and sure up its cashflow by opening an online cellar door.
The cellar door gives people a chance to select wines from Charred's multi-award-winning wine list, which has been compiled by award-winning sommelier David Collins.
The online store also includes a range of spirits. All drinks are delivered.
New businesses
A second vape store is set to open in Orange this week.
Mixology Vape is opening in Summer Street and will join Super Vape Store, which has opened in Peisley Street.
