A 40-year-old learner-driver has been convicted in Orange Local Court for driving an unregistered and uninsured car while his licence was suspended.

Garry John Edwards, of Lone Pine Avenue, was seen reversing out of a drive-way in Adina Crescent at 10.17pm on June 20. Police drove past and did a u-turn and came across him again in Lone Pine Avenue.
Edwards stopped in his driveway and spoke to the police who searched the car and found 0.3 grams of methylamphetamine.
Magistrate David Day fined Edwards $110 for driving unaccompanied, he fined him $330 and disqualified his driver's licence for three months for driving while suspended.
Mr Day also convicted him without further action for driving an unregistered and uninsured vehicle and he fined him $220 for drug possession.
