Western NSW Local Health District confirmed there had been no new cases of COVID identified in the area and so there remains just the single active case in the LHD. That case is located in the Cabonne LGA. NSW as a whole recorded 141 new cases.
"As a result of contact tracing and other investigations we currently have six venues of concern in our LHD; five in Orange and one at Bathurst. All venues of transmission or concern are listed on the NSW Health website," a spokeswoman for the health service said.
"Yesterday, more than 1400 Covid-19 tests were performed at drive-through services in Parkes, Blayney, Molong, Orange and Bathurst.
"In most cases, people will receive their results within 72 hours. If people are waiting longer than 72 hours for results, please contact our public health team between 8am and 5pm, Monday to Friday on 1300 066 055.
"Up to 8pm last night there had been 35,679 tests conducted in the WNSWLHD in the last four weeks."
Overnight there have been no changes to public health orders.
The Stay at Home orders are in place for the Orange, Cabonne and Blayney local government areas. This means that people should only leave their homes for essential purposes.
Essential purposes can include going to work or education, if you cannot do that from home; shopping for essential goods and services; attending essential medical appointments - including having a Covid-19 test or vaccine.
Community members with questions or concerns about COVID-19, including testing and vaccination, should be encouraged to contact the National Coronavirus Helpline on 1800 020 080.
