The centre at the old Bunnings site at the Orange Homemaker Centre was up and running by Wednesday afternoon after residents turned up in their thousands to Wade Park and the Orange Showgrounds for testing.

The Western NSW Local Health District shared the announcement on their social media platforms, thanking Orange residents for their patience and for showing up in droves to get tested.

By 8am Thursday, all the drive-thru sites were open again - in addition to the Orange Douglass Hanly Moir Pathology at 257 Anson Street. Then by mid-morning, numbers were drastically reduced compared to the previous day's figures. Queues were almost non-existent, with very short waits involved for those needing tests - a stark contrast on Wednesday.

According to the Western NSW Local Health District, the Wade Park clinic will remain open from 7:30am until 4pm until Friday, and then from 8am until midday on Sunday, July 25. The clinic at the Orange Showgrounds will be open from 8am until 4pm from Monday to Friday and from 8am until midday on Saturday and Sunday until further notice.

The testing site at the old Bunnings at 7 Bathurst Road will also be open from 8am until 6pm until Sunday. No bookings are required at Wade Park, the old Bunnings or Orange Showgrounds, but they are at Douglass Hanly Moir Pathology, at Orange Hospital and at Bloomfield.
