In it's inaugural season as a club, the United women finished second on the Central West Premier League Hockey ladder and will face Lithgow Panthers for a spot in the grand final as their reward.
Coach Nic Milne knows it's a tough task, but believes his side is up for the challenge.
"The girls have got a lot of confidence going into the game," he said.
"They've had a couple of tough games the last few weeks which has built their confidence up, so the key is just to go in and play the style of hockey we know we can play and hopefully come away with the victory."
The two sides met twice this year, with the Panthers taking bragging rights in round 2 with a 1-0 victory, before United got their revenge in round 9 with a 2-0 win.
Milne knows that you can throw out all past results when it comes to the finals.
"Everything changes and you have to put away the round games and focus on the games ahead of you," he added.
"Lithgow have been in the grand final for the last ten years or something, so they've been extremely tough competition. So if we can just control the ball and do what we do normally, then we should go alright against them."
Asked if there were any players to look out for, he had a simple answer.
"The Panthers have 11 on the field that are going to be hard to contain," he added.
"But for us to come away with the victory, it's not going to be about individual players, it's going to be a team effort so hopefully the 14 or 15 we selected can get the job done."
The match will take place at 1.30pm on Saturday, with Lithgow hosting.
The loser of the match will take on the winner of the 3v4 semi-final between CYMS and St Pat's.
St Pat's president Wendy Hastings said they have a good mix of talent on their team.
"In the women's you've got the babies, the Fulton girls and Lily Kable," she said.
"Then you've got the beautiful senior women like Lucy [Weal] and Jodie [Webb] and Amy Glenn.
"From the front to the back and in every direction, you have youth and speed and amazing skills and experience and you have a huge age group."
St Pat's beat CYMS on both occasions that they faced each other this season.
CYMS will travel to Bathurst for a 3.20pm start time against the third place team on Saturday.
In the men's competition, Orange Wanderers will take on Parkes in the minor semi-final, while St Pat's will host Lithgow Storm in the major semi.
