Cr Beatty is one of six confirmed Councillors who'll seek re-election in September.
First elected to Cabonne council in 2017 with the highest number of votes in the election, Cr Beatty then stood for mayor on the back of that groundswell of support and has led the council since, elected for another two-year term as mayor in 2019.
A Molong resident since 1996, the ex-police officer is now retired and runs a small farm in the shire.
He encouraged anyone in the shire considering taking up civic duties to nominate.
"It's rewarding, it's totally different to what I imagined it would be like," Cr Beatty said.
If you've got the time I'd encouraged people to have a go, it's about time management.

"Seeing community projects come to fruition is really rewarding."
He warned however that the role of a Councillor is just as demanding at times.
Cr Beatty says the role can be time consuming but believes those with the right time management skills will flourish.
He said meetings, workshops, training sessions and maintain an in-depth knowledge of local government procedures was just the start.
"And then you've got the community meetings," he added.
"If you've got the time I'd encouraged people to have a go, it's about time management."
Councillors Jenny Weaver, Libby Oldham, Marlene Nash, Paul Mullins and Peter Batten also confirmed to Australian Community Media they would be standing again at the local government elections.
The only confirmed non-starter is Cr Anthony Durkin, who announced earlier this year he wasn't seeking re-election.
The nomination period for intending candidates runs from Monday, July 26 until 12pm on Wednesday, August 4.
