The recipients of the 2021 Community Grants Support Program include Headspace Orange, JAM Orange, Millthorpe Public School, Molong Central School, Australian National Field Days and the Orange Rotary Club.
The organisation to receive the largest cash injection from the grant was Headspace Orange, who will use the $5,000 on its "Goal Digger" high school student tutorial and development program.
Orange Credit Union CEO Andrew de Graaff said there were a number of high calibre applications this year, representing a wide range of not-for-profit organisations from across Orange and the surrounding region.
The other organisations to receive grants include: JAM Orange for their Winter Jazz Festival planned for June 2022 ($3000); Millthorpe Public School for play equipment and financial literacy program ($3000); Molong Central School for its SMARTS - Spring Molong Arts - exhibition including art installation with eight schools in the Cabonne Council area to be held on 15 October ($3500); Australian National Field Days for the sponsorship of its children's playground including petting zoo at their event to be held in Borenore on October 21-23 ($2500), and the Orange Rotary Club's Sustainability Expo to be held on October 24 ($3000).
