A man was arrested following an alleged break in at a rural property near Parkes earlier this week, after being detected by the landowner and detained until officers arrived at the scene.

Police were called to a property on the Warregal Road near the township of Tichbourne, just south of Parkes, on June 26, where the landowner had discovered the 32-year-old man and subsequently detained him.
The man was arrested and charged with aggravated break, enter and steal, and bail was refused by police.
He appeared in Dubbo Local Court that day and bail was refused, for him to reappear at Parkes Local Court on July 8.
