Two weeks ago though that cross and a large white silk orchid that was cable tied to it were missing.
With her heart thrumming with disappointment Mrs Vidler discovered that someone had stolen the flower by pulling the cross out of the ground and sliding the cable tie down.
"I was heartbroken," she said. "How low would you have to be to steal from the dead?"
Mr Vidler died in March after a 22 year battle with throat cancer, and Mrs Vidler will have to wait until October for the earth to settle before a more permanent headstone is put in place.
"I'm just so disgusted," she said. "Trevor was such a giving man and to have this occur is just wrong."
Mrs Vidler is baffled as to why anyone would steal the flower, a quick search around the cemetery failed to find it on another grave.
"To lift the cross up and slide the cable tie and flower off means that this is deliberate, it's not like it was knocked over accidently," she said.
Located next to her grandfather and uncle the grave is surrounded by rabbit warrens which have caused her grief as well.
"They're just everywhere, council needs to come and do something about that because I've already tripped on one of them," she said.
Mrs Vidler has now replaced the orchid with a bunch of white silk roses and has revealed that she's not the only person to find damage to the graves.
"Since this has happened a lot of people have told me similar stories of damage to the graves of loved ones," she said.
