They may not have come away with any points, but Brett Sammut and his U16s girls definitely showed they are one to watch in the coming years.

The latest round of the Western NSW Football Youth League was at Jack Brabham Park on Sunday and Sammut's Orange side hosted Dubbo in a double-header.
They lost the first game 5-1, before narrowing the margin in the second when they went down 2-0.
But for a team made up of players aged between 12 and 16, Sammut saw nothing but positive signs.
"Being out here it's hard to get the girls trial games. So it's been a tough year but the girls train weekly and I attended their club games to try and gauge a few things," he said.
"First game we treated it a bit like a trial. We had no idea where to play the girls and we trialled a few different positions and the results showed we were a bit off the pace.
"The second game we treated as our first real match and I think the results showed.
"2-0 was a great result against a much more refined team. Dubbo is an amazing club and amazing district."
With such a young group of players, Sammut isn't looking for immediate results.
Instead he hopes the experience gained now will lead to better results in the next few years.
"Instead of picking only 16-year-olds and having one year, I picked a bit of a junior team in the hope that in years down the track we can become more of a skilful team so we can challenge some of the bigger clubs like Bathurst and Dubbo," he said.
"The girls have been picked on their skill and you find most of the young girls have the skill to evade the tackles and get around players without having to use that sheer strength which they haven't got yet."
The team will now travel to Dubbo's Lady Cutler Oval this Sunday to complete their four game season.
"I think this week will just be about using what we learnt in game two on Sunday. The score doesn't really show the effort or reward," he added.
"My girls aren't really worried about winning or scoring goals, they're more proud about representing Orange outside the district and wearing that shirt with pride."
