Cancer Care Western NSW regional fundraising coordinator Jan Savage said the support included $21,000 in donations for Western Care Lodge.
"Our lodge provides a home away from home for rural patients obtaining treatment at the Orange Cancer Services, it is rewarding for those guests to understand that many of our furnishings are donated by partnering within our own community," Mrs Savage said.
"It is important to recognise those contributions and particularly those that expand over 10 years in duration from a local small Credit Union, that has been able and willing to create that role for us as a community organisation."
Among the items provided for the lodge from the credit union's support were two refrigerators, seven TVs for the bedrooms, and some computer software.
Orange Credit Union CEO Andrew de Graaff said the company is proud to give back to strengthen the community and support those who are making a difference to improve the lives of others.
"Through the efforts of our team backing locals, over 180 local organisations in Orange and the surrounding region have received grant funding support totalling almost almost $450,000," Mr de Graaf said.
"A wide range of not-for-profit organisations, community groups, schools, local government projects have strengthened their offering as previous successful recipients of small grants [of up to $5000]."
