However, due to an issue with the liquor licence that is being resolved, patrons need to buy their drinks from from the downstairs bottle shop.
The Carriers Arms Hotel owner Ed Hattersley, who also runs The Mad Hatter, had a soft opening for the hotel on Friday.
"We are trying to separate the two businesses to run independently," Mr Hattersley said.
He said an application has been submitted for a separate liquor licence for the bottle shop but they are still waiting for an outcome.
"The landlord that own the pub, they own the bottle shop and we lease the hotel and we need two separate licences," Mr Hattersley said.
Mr Hattersley said while they wait for the new licence to come through the hotel is going to run pop ups with BYO drinks through the bottle shop.
Initially the hotel will run from Wednesday to Sunday with different pop ups such as Mary Jane's fried chicken and burgers.
Golden sun
The Chinese restaurant on Glenroi Avenue has a new name and new owner with chefs from Sydney who have 40 years of experience.
The restaurant formerly known as Glenroi Kitchen is now known as Golden Sun Asian Food Gourmet and serves Hong Kong style food.
As well as Hong Kong style the chefs also produce dishes from other parts of Asia such as Thai and Malaysian style dishes.
There is also an Australian section on the menu.
For those who are unsure what to order there is also a section of chef's recommendation detailing the chef's specialties.
Expansion plan
A Mudgee-based tour operator is looking to expand into the Orange market.
Bronny Parry had been working in the corporate sector in Newcastle for 20 years, until she "took a gamble" and bought a minibus from the side of the road in Newcastle.
That minibus was the beginning of Mudgee Explorer Tours, a business which grew from a single vehicle in 2016 to eight buses that run tours every day of the week.
The COVID-19 pandemic opened up new opportunities for Ms Parry to expand to Orange where demand for tours has been strong. But Ms Parry said she would expand slowly and "organically".
"It shocked the life out of me, I thought tourism was doomed but after COVID-19 our sales tripled," she said.
