After three vehicles were gutted in fires on Sunday, Monday and then Tuesday morning, emergency services received reports of Friday morning's blaze on Ross Place at about 1am.
The small, no-through road joins Browning Street adjacent to George Park, with the incident exacerbating growing concerns not just in Bathurst but also the entire region after a number of similar incidents in Orange and Blayney recently.
Fortunately Friday morning's report came in early, allow Fire and Rescue crews to extinguish Friday morning's blaze quickly and avoid the vehicle being completely destroyed.
One crew was dispatched from the Bathurst station and discovered just one of the vehicle's tires alight when they arrived, quickly extinguishing the small flames and eliminating any further threat.
On Tuesday morning, following the third of this week's vehicle fires, Chifley Police District detectives said they were canvassing the area as part of ongoing investigations, in the hope of uncovering information that might assist.
Officers attached the Central West PD also appealed to the public for information earlier in the week, releasing a description of a man who was seen running from the scene of a similar incident in Blayney on Sunday.
