Central West Police District inspector Dave Harvey said at 10.35pm on May 12, a male "attended a residence" in Wahratta Way.
"He entered the premises and approached the victim, who was the occupier and demanded property from the victim," inspector Harvey said.
"The victim produced a small knife to defend himself. The male offender left the premises with an amount of cash and other property.
"The victim followed him into the driveway before the offender left the scene."
The burglar got into a dark coloured sedan and was last seen heading in an easterly direction on Matthews Avenue.

Police attended and commenced an investigation. Police are seeking any information from members of the public.
