Renae Jane Davis, 40, of Calare, was searched on the side of the road after she appeared to be nervous when police stopped her for a random breath test.
Davis was driving on Moulder Street about 2.45pm on March 16 when police pulled her over for a breath test and she provided a negative result.
Police suspected her of hiding something however, she removed an object from her bra during the search.
Police saw her hiding something in her hand and she eventually handed over 16.44 grams of cannabis.
Solicitor Rebecca Scott said Davis used the cannabis to self medicate after a tragedy in her life.
Magistrate David Day said Davis sought help so he convicted her and ordered her to be of good behaviour for 12 months.
