Waratah United took on club rival Waratah Athletic for the showcase event up at the sports ground on Saturday in the A/B grade competition.
Both teams were coming into the match after a week off, but it was United who ended Athletic's unbeaten streak with a 2-0 victory.
Over at Jack Brabham, Kinross's bad run of form continued as they fell 2-0 to Saints FC.
The other crop of students in CSU had a better time of things, as they pulled out a 3-3 draw against Barnies Beyond Blue.
Barnies United had better luck when they travelled down to face Blayney B. The away side couldn't be stopped as they took the easy 9-2 victory.
Speaking of away trips, Millthorpe had the displeasure of travelling to Cowra for a match against the Eagles.
The trip wasn't worth it as they too fell 2-0.
Finally, Waratah Wolfpack hosted CYMS on the Friday night. Despite the cold conditions, CYMS proved why they are in scorching form as they took care of business 6-2.
The next round for A/B grade will feature two Friday night games, both starting at 6.30pm.
The first will be a derby at the Sports Ground between Waratah Wolfpack and Waratah United, with the other taking place at Jack Brabham between Saints FC and CSU.
Down in C grade, the goal-fest continued with not one team managing to keep a clean sheet.
In another Friday night showdown Barnies YADS hosted Ex-Services at Jack Brabham.
YADS' up and down year continued as they fell in a close 2-1 match.
Travelling to Cowra with their first grade counterparts, Millthorpe had a better run of it in C grade as they came away with the 3-2 win.
Barnies 16s once again showed their firepower in front of goal as they won over CYMS - WSBG 5-3.
The final two matches in the week had the points shared, with Barnies UTD and Waratahs O35s playing out a 2-2 draw, while Blayney C and Canobolas C finished 1-1.
Only one result was available in the 4th division, with Waratah FC losing to Waratah women 4-3 at the Sports Ground.
