Police were called to the property by a man who said Marley Andrews, 29, of Sale Street, had confronted and intimidated him on June 22, 2020.

When police arrived the victim said Andrews had been leaving items, which the victim believed had been stolen, at the address.

The victim led the police to the back of the property where police saw a handmade structure covering a stolen blue-and-white Yamaha motorbike, generator, and air compressor next to an old caravan that Andrews had been staying in.

Inside the caravan police found registration plates including one that had been taken from a vehicle at Orange Airport earlier that month.

Police discovered the property was stolen during a break and enter at a rural property at Woodstock when a house was ransacked and items including a Yamaha motorbike, fencing equipment, generator, Toyota HiLux ute, as well as hand and power tools, were stolen.

The stolen ute was was also located and seized at an address at Spring Hill and police seized other stolen items including four chainsaws, two angle grinders, hand tools, a TV, cattle prod, fencing equipment, axe, ute-tray-mounted winch, a roll of barbed wire, a mountain bike, two lap tops, DVD player, desktop computer, cowboy style boots, and an air compressor.

The Woodstock victim identified all the items that were seized as their property.

Andrews was arrested at Spring Hill on June 23 and had a small resealable bag containing the drug ice in his pocket that he said he bought for $150.

Andrews was charged with intimidation, possession of suspected stolen goods, stealing a vehicle, possession of a taser without a permit and possession of 0.1 grams of methamphetamine.

Barrister Frances Lalic said Andrews had been in custody since June 2020, and he had positive family members outside the area who he could live with and who had productive work for him.

Magistrate David Day said Andrews was on parole at the time of the offences but he took into account the 10 months he spent in jail before being sentenced.

He gave Andrews a 15-month community-based custodial sentence by way of an Intensive Correction Order.

"He was operating a depot of stolen property, he was running with some very dopey people," Mr Day said.

He also disqualified Andrews' driver's licence for six months and placed him on a 12-month community correction order for driving while his licence was disqualified.
