Husband and wife team Jed Ford and Jo Quinn started selling resin art and products online at markets but when COVID-19 hit and markets closed they sought an alternative.
Ms Quinn said they opened a small shop with a resin focus in Anson Street last year, but just before Christmas they moved into a larger studio premises across the road.
"The resin supply side needed more space, it's trending at the moment, it's trending with younger people as well," she said.
At the studio she and Mr Ford also run their resin workshops, which she said are particularly popular with men aged between 40 and 80.
Ms Quinn said as well as running the Orange business, she and Mr Ford also travel across the central west to Dubbo, Bathurst, Parkes, Forbes and Canowindra running workshops and they also continue to sell products at markets across the region.

Management says the kitchen will close this Monday, May 3 and will reopen on Thursday, May 20 for lunch and dinner as usual.
Light snacks will be available during the shutdown.
The Tarana Hotel kitchen featured late last year in an episode of The Local - a social media passion project for television producers Tim Allan and Matt Jeffrey.
Business decision for credit unions
Dubbo's Macquarie Credit Union and Orange Credit Union are looking into a merger to keep the businesses viable.
Both credit unions were founded in 1964 from manufacturing employee groups.
A due diligence process is to be conducted by both organisations over the next several months before a possible merger is presented to the regulators for review and required approval.
Subject to all required approvals, the merged credit union would be formed in March 2022.
Treat for Mother's Day
Mothers are in for a treat as Dubbo couple Mathew and Kristen Smith get into the groove as owners of Lazy River Estate.
On May 9 they will throw open the gates of the property on Old Dubbo Road for the special occasion.
"We've got the Mother's Day lunch, which will be all day on that Sunday, we're doing a lunchtime buffet, and also we've introduced picnics on the ground," Mrs Smith said.
"So if you don't want to sit up in the function centre, you just come and get your pre-booked picnic basket for four people, Mum gets a bottle of champagne and a candle for Mother's Day.
"They just have to bring their picnic blanket, and pick a spot on the estate and just enjoy the serenity and everything around it and enjoy the day."
The couple have a number of plans in the pipeline for Lazy River including Sunday sessions starting once a month from Father's Day, sculpture gardens and additional accommodation.
