ARIA-winning Sydney band Lime Cordiale is planned to top the bill at the Squeeze Music Festival, possibly to be held at Wade Park.
Orange City Council will consider the plan for the festival at its meeting on Tuesday night.
A report to council has recommended council put on public exhibition an intention to provide $10,000 funding and hire fees to promoters Chugg Entertainment for the festival.
The event will attract a younger audience, however families and other age groups will attend.

"Squeeze Music Festival will be headlined by Lime Cordiale, with four support acts and an additional act sourced from the local region," it said.
"Pending the then-COVID-19 NSW health orders, the event can cater for up to 6000 people."
It is proposed the concert would likely occur in early 2022, but no date has been proposed.
"A venue has not yet been decided. If, for example, Wade Park is the preferred venue it would add $2437 to the event's cost covering a bump-in day, the event day and a bump-out day," the report said.
It said Orange stood to gain an economic benefit of between $247,500 and $495,000 based on estimates of 900-1800 people staying at least one night in accommodation.
"The target audience for this event is people who appreciate Australian music. The event will attract a younger audience, however families and other age groups will attend."
It said the resources for the event, including toilet hire, fencing, food and beverage suppliers, security and artist accommodation was all available locally.
Lime Cordiale consists of brothers Oliver and Louis Leimbach and touring musicians.
