Karen Harris said she started the group not long after she moved to Orange in 2014.
Mrs Harris said the pop-up shop will also be held on Saturday to let people know that there is a group in Orange that meets regularly to knit or crochet projects.
The members have a variety of skills with Mrs Harris also dying her own wool and fleece and regular participants range in age from 28 to 100.
"When people come to town they don't know there's a group for people who want to learn to knit or crochet," she said.
"It's becoming a bit of a revival.
"If somebody has a problem with a pattern we are here to help.
The group meets on a Tuesday and Saturday between 10am and noon each week.
"It's very lucky that that [Orange Ex-Services' club] lets us meet here on Tuesday and Saturday," Mrs Harris said.
Fellow member Glenys Grimmett said members create items for themselves but also to donate.
She said beanies are made to give to the Jeremiah Foundation in Western Sydney so they can be distributed to people who are homeless.
Mrs Grimmett said they also make beanies for women and children who attend the women's refuge run by Housing Plus.
"It's just a little gift," Mrs Grimmett said.
The women have also previously crocheted a six-foot tall Christmas tree that the Ex-Services' Club uses as its wishing tree each year. The base was made by the Orange Men's Shed.
The pop-up shop will be held at Studio on Anson, next to the Orange Ex-Services' Club, on Saturday from 10am to 2.30pm.
