The event on Saturday, June 26, will mark the 13^th anniversary of the glitzy night at Borrodell Estate which sees diners dressed to the nines in ball gowns and suits stomping through the vines and orchards in their best gumboots.

After roaming the wintery wonderland of the winery with the truffle dogs, guests retire to the warmth and candle-light of the wine cellar for a fine five-course dinner prepared by two-hat guest chef Giovanni Pilu.

Every year - with the exception of 2020-, the Black Tie and Gumboot Truffle Hunt and Dinner hosts a charity auction and this year, a number of koala rescue organisations are the beneficiaries.

Guests bid on artworks as well as the prized truffles found during the hunt.

Diners are encouraged to dress like they're attending the Oscars and also wear the most outlandish gumboots they can find - with prizes up for grabs for the best gumboot (think sequins, rhinestones and whatever else you can make stick with a hot glue gun).

According to the event's hosts, each year guests travel from near and far to be a part of the spectacular and memorable evening.

Tickets to the decadent evening aren't cheap though.

The truffle hunt and dinner will set you back $320 per person, which covers the hour-long hunt, information session, five-course degustation truffle dinner with estate-grown wines and live music.

A complimentary bus service to and from venue will also be provided.

The Black Tie and Gumboot Truffle Hunt and Dinner is on Saturday, June 26, from 3.30 until 10.30pm.
