Matt vanGasselt has started his own industrial design company, Matt vG Design.
"Prior to starting Matt vG Design, I was working for Almighty Industries here in Orange," Mr vanGasselt said.
"My job involved working with Todd and Jenny Raffen to interpret client needs, create vehicle solutions and then produce all the necessary workshop documentation to ensure the client's needs were achieved. Almighty is my first client.
"I love designing things that address the desired outcomes and are simple and easy to make.
"When something is designed this way, it reduces manufacturing errors as well as reducing the skill set required to manufacture it. This is something I do well, and I felt now was the right time to offer my services to a wider market."
Mr vanGesselt said he is primarily interested in the design of mechanical objects and fabrication, but he is also available for engineering drafting work and can be reached through his website mattvgdesign.com.
"Over the last 16 years I've worked in a variety of industries from scientific instruments for the grains industry and agricultural implements to products for the locksmith industry and whitegoods," he said.
"I took my first full time design role in 2003, I worked for a glass studio that specialised in bespoke lighting pieces.
"I graduated with a design technology degree aka industrial design at the end of 2004."
