The centre/fullback turned pivot is fresh off a Dally M season in 2020 and has picked up where he left off this winter, leading the Green Machine to a 3-1 record with their most recent 20-4 triumph coming in brutal fashion against the Gold Coast Titans on Saturday night.
But, coach Ricky Staurt says there's still areas where the playmaker can improve, particularly when it comes to his ability to play on the right hand side.
"He needs to find his rhythm of being able to play on both sides of the field," Stuart said.
"Being able to understand when to go and when to hold... I think that's really important for a half.
"He's in one of the toughest positions on the field and the more games you get under your belt, the more comfortable you become. I want Jack Wighton to play like Jack Wighton. Not anyone else."
