"It was fantastic," said Stuart Smith from Orange Daybreak.
"We had 3000 people come through the door, so it was pretty amazing."
The Naylor Pavilion at the Orange Showground had been filled with "everything from the kitchen sink to a coffin" thanks to generous donations from community members.
The coffin in question - which was more of a prop than an actual casket - proclaimed it had only had "one owner!!", was purchased by Evie Fock for $150 as a birthday present to herself, after haggling it down from $200.
The unique item was among the 3000 which had been donated by members of the public for the Rotary Club of Orange Daybreak's fundraiser for local men's health groups.
"There was an extraordinary number of books, CDs and DVDs [donated]," Mr Smith said.
"We sold a whole set of office furniture.
"There wasn't a huge amount [of items] left over which was amazing."
On Saturday morning around 200 people had lined up outside the Naylor Pavilion awaiting its opening at 8am.
"The response was outstanding. We're very grateful for that," Mr Smith said.
"It was a big, big comeback after Covid which really curtailed our fundraising."
All proceeds from the "big" event will now go to local men's health groups, including the Orange Prostate Cancer Support Group.
