Orange product Tahnee Norris kicked off her Queensland coaching tenure by pushing for an increase to the women's State of Origin series.
Now set at one match, Norris hopes to see the girls duke it out over a three-game slate in years to come.
Norris brings with her a wealth of coaching success having guided Queensland club side Burleigh to five premierships in six seasons.
The confirmation will see Norris go head-to-head with recently appointed NSW coach Kylie Hilder.
The Maroons will re-ignite their rivalry with NSW on June 25 at a venue expected to be confirmed by the NRL in the coming weeks.
