On Friday it was confirmed it was a female teacher who was taken to hospital, with the Department of Education confirming the injury came following a fight between students.
"A teacher was injured during a physical altercation between two students," a spokesperson for NSW Education said.
"We are deeply concerned and the school will be taking strong disciplinary action against the students involved. The teacher is being supported by the school."
Detective Chief Inspector Bruce Grassick, Crime Manager Central West Police District, said the circumstances surrounding the teacher's involvement in the altercation are still being looked into.
"The investigations have progressed, we've looked into the matter and a number of statements have been obtained, we're working with (the Department of) Education pertaining to the circumstances surrounding the incident," Mr Grassick said.
"We understand there was some involvement of a teacher at that site during the course of [the altercation] between students, and the circumstances around her involvement in that matter are still being explored."
