Environmentally Concerned Citizens of Orange's Nick King has seen it all when organising Clean Up Australia Day activities over the years.
The clean-up event is on again this Sunday morning at three venues and up to 100 volunteers are being sought to help out.
The first year we had about 15 bags of rubbish

Mr King will be running the ECCO site at the skate park on Warrendine and Anson streets.
"The first year we had about 15 bags of rubbish. It has improved but there is still a long way to go," he said.
"The majority of rubbish is five feet from the [bin]. It is a major concern."
Mr King said the amount of plastic bottles needing to be picked up had fallen since the introduction of the Return and Earn recycling machines.
"We haven't had a shopping trolley for a while. There was one that had a tree growing through it," he said.
Tidy Towns committee chair, Cr Kevin Duffy said there were several ways people could help.
"If residents can't make it to a clean-up event on Sunday, they can do their bit by simply picking up litter in their own streets," he said.
The three venues are:
- Elephant Park and surrounds including Moulder Park, with the focus being along Blackmans Swamp Creek. Registration from 10am with a 12.30pm finish followed by a barbecue lunch.
- Skate Park on the corner of Anson and Warrendine streets. Registration from 10am and finishing at noon. Heading over to Elephant Park afterwards to join in the barbecue lunch.
- Clifton Grove clean-up day. Registrations at the mud hut from 10am and finishing at noon. Followed by a barbecue lunch.
