Beck Wills made her way down to the cemetery last week to have a chat with her nan, who died in 1995. But when she arrived, she found that all the letters and decorations their family had left were gone.
"I've just dropped," she said.
"It wasn't like it was destroyed and left behind. Every little thing was gone. I thought who would do that?"
Unfortunately for Ms Wills, this isn't the first time something like this has happened. In fact, it's the third time the grave has been left worse for wear.
"I just think it's becoming a joke," she said.
"We're not asking for cameras everywhere, just one at the main gate.
"People should be able to rest in peace. My grandmother is in an older area of the cemetery, but it shouldn't matter where you are."
She feels as though Orange Council don't care about the plight of her family and others like them.
"That's what hurts," she added.
"We're not asking to have them all throughout the cemetery. We don't want to intrude on people's privacy while they're spending time with their loved ones, we just want one on the entry to deter people from doing things like this."
She had a message for the council.
"Spend some money on our roads, spend some money on places that need it, put a damn camera up so people can literally see their loved ones rest in peace."
Councillor Kevin Duffy has been vocal in the past about more needing to be done to protect the cemetery.
He believes a single camera wouldn't go far enough in protecting the grounds and says he will be putting forward ideas in the budget to address the issue.
"If we're going to do something, we'll need money in the budget to address the issue of protection of the cemetery," Cr Duffy said.
"As custodians of the place, one would think the council does have a responsibility to protect the area.
"There needs to be a secure fence put up and cameras coming in and out of the place and even cameras in certain areas of the place."
He admitted there could be issues regarding the history of the fence.
"Everywhere else is doing something about it," he said.
"You drive through Bathurst or Wellington or Cootamundra and they look after their places immaculately, yet us, we're very slack with it and that's what we hope to address."
